Puncture Repairs

Punctures are sadly something that  happen to all motorists, however it doesn't always mean that you have to replace the tyre! Dependent upon where the puncture has occurred it can be possible to repair punctures in some cases.

  • If the puncture is in the middle of the tyre & NOT close to the shoulder it may, dependent upon the size be repaired.
  • It is NOT possible to repair punctures to the side wall of the tyre or punctures close to the shoulder.

Tyre Frequently Asked Questions

Do punctures always mean getting a new tyre?

No, not always as it depends upon where the puncture is on the tyre. We cannot repair punctures in the side wall of a tyre or punctures close to the tyres shoulder but if it is central and not too large a puncture we can often repair safely.

We are supported by the UK's largest wholesale group with unparralelled purchasing power & stock availability as well as having direct accounts with major manufacturers. Not only do we compete on price we absolutely win hands down on providing service & value, after all it means everything to us & we are part of the local community amongst friends & neighbours.

The legal minimum limit for vehicles is 1.6mm across the width of the tyre.

It is noit reccomended to wait until your tyres reach the minimul limit of 1.6mm. Manufacturers suggest that as tyre tread wear & tear reduces the fread depth traction, grip reduce & braking distances increase, especially in the wet. It is sensible to start considering changing tyres when you reach about 3mm. Pop in for a free tyre check & get the right advice.
